Answer: Machines are made from the ore extracted from mines. The ore goes through the process like melting, moulding and hammering. And it cut, filed and tooled and gauged to fit.

Answer: The machines ask water, coal and oil for their survival.
 
4.) How long will the machines serve us?
Answer: Machines serve us for four and twenty (twenty-four) hours a day.

Answer: The poet says that the machines are innovation of the human brain. Machines are made by humans to do specific job which reduce the efforts of humans and saves time and energy and due to power, weight and size it can be said that the machines are the children of human brain.

Answer: In the poem, the poet attribute ability to speak to machine because the poem is being told by machine. In the poem the machines are telling about their existence and functions and handling instructions.

Building your house:
1.) Why did the carpenter want to retire?
Answer: The carpenter wants to retire because he wanted to live a more leisurely life with his wife and enjoy his extended family.
 
2.) What would he miss after his retirement?
Answer: He would miss the pay cheque after retirement.
 
3.) What did the contractor ask the carpenter as a personal favour?
Answer: The contractor asked carpenter to build just one more house as a personal favour.
 
4.) How did the carpenter build the house?
Answer: The carpenter builds the house with shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials.
 
5.) If the carpenter had known it was his house, how would he have built it?
Answer: If the carpenter had known it was his house then he would have built it very differently.
 
6.) What is the lesson you learn from this small story?
Answer: The lesson we learn from this small story is the whatever work is assigned to us should be done with same dedication and passion like it is own work.
